I'm running because I want to govern alongside YOU: Minnesotans who care about our collective future. I believe in democracy, a healthy world for future generations, and the basic decency of human beings. Please join us!

About Kristi

Kristi cannot deny her Southern Minnesota roots. She began her life in Rochester, graduated from St. Olaf College, and her husband, Michael, and two children Franklin (7) and Henry (9) have called Northfield home for seven years.

Kristi has forged deep partnerships across our district. She has been the Executive Director of Clean River Partners, a Northfield-based environmental non-profit organization, for nearly five years. She has also been a leader within grassroots organizations, including the Land Stewardship Project, ISAIAH MN, and TakeAction MN.

Through her professional and personal work, she has helped secure millions of dollars at the state legislature for our environment and local farmers, implemented numerous clean water initiatives with farmers and landowners in the Cannon River Watershed, advocated for a people-centered healthcare system, and more.

Kristi believes true leadership is partnering with community members, particularly those most impacted by the challenges we face, to create tangible solutions that ensure all Minnesotans thrive, no exceptions. When we come together, grounded in our values, we can build a resilient climate, an education system that fully supports students and educators, a strong democracy, and an affordable, accessible, high-quality healthcare system.

Kristi believes in listening to EVERYONE, regardless of race, class, gender, political party, and zip code. Good representation requires being community-centered. Please take a moment to share your story and what you care about with Kristi here.
